Taming Your Emotions- Caregiver Edition

A psycho-educational group for parents and caregivers that is largely focused on the DBT skills of Walking the Middle Path with added components of emotion-focused therapy and trauma.

Weekly Session Topics:

  1. Intro to “walking the middle path”/goals
  2. Mindfulness – self-regulation in order to co-regulate
  3. Crisis Management and coping strategies
  4. Validation
  5. Dialectics and perspective taking
  6. Behaviour modification

This is a 6-week group workshop with 1 hour sessions from 9:00am-10:00am beginning Thursday, February 24th.
