9th Annual Family Fun FestivalMay 16, 2012 - Keystone Child, Youth & Family Services is celebrating its 9th Annual Family Fun Festival on Saturday June 9th at Kelso Beach Park in Owen Sound from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This FREE event is open to all families throughout our region. This year we have a fantastic lineup of fun events for all ages. Favourite activities will be back including the bouncy castles, face painting, pony rides, mini-golf, hockey shoot and puppets from CMHA FAN club. Music performances will be featured and Hit The Beat School of Performing Arts will be on hand to run modern/hip hop dance workshops. The Owen Sound Police Service are back, featuring their Safety Village, which includes 6 battery operated cars that younger children can operate while they learn about making smart choices. Angola Murdoch with Lookup Theatre is returning with her interactive circus performances. New this year, we are excited to bring Elephant Thoughts on board. They will have a high energy, interactive science activity tent where guests will be able to do various cool activities, such as make your own slime. There will be crafts and activities for school aged children and younger children. The Rocking Horse will be bringing a special character too for children to meet. We are pleased to be able to offer all activities, frozen treats and water free of charge. Pizza will be available for purchase at a very reasonable cost.
Last year we had over 1400 people at our Family Fun Festival despite unpredictable weather. We are anticipating a larger crowd this year. So come join us Saturday June 9th, Rain or Shine!!
